Canoeing - With the Dordogne river to the north and
the Lot river to the south of La Carrière, you are spoilt for choice.
There are a number of organised
canoeing centres dotted along both rivers with organised canoeing expeditions
or for private hire. |

Golf - There are three golf courses in the area, two nine hole
courses at Sauveterre and Saint Cere, and a real test for the more experienced
golfer at the eighteen hole Souilliac Country Club.

Rambling - There are a multitude of both guided and unguided rambling routes that take you from deep within the lush countryside to the busling local towns and along the local rivers. Details of these routes can be obtained from local tourist offices.

Cycling - Cycling is one of the more favoured activities of the
French and therefore you will find an abundance of cycling centres
and route planning facilities in
the area.

Horse Riding - There are approximately 25 horse-riding establishments
in the region offering organised trips in the country by the hour or
day excursion as well as pack
donkey outings.

Fishing - The Lot region pays host to a number of 1st class water
course and 1st class lakes for the keen fisherman. Both fishing with
bait
and fly fishing are available
in the area with several lakes better known for their carp and carnivorous
fish. The Lot valley, from Cahors to
Puy l´Eveque, is populated by
zander, pike and black bass and has six sectors where night fishing for
carp is practised.
